I must admit to knowing only small 'bits' of the Bible - it 's such a daunting book!-bit like War & Peace which I've never attempted to read.
A study of the Koran - absolutely, count me in!!!!!!

Wow, it took me all this time to find the Theist Group. I can see a suporters only forum. But I cannot find a theist only forum. This thread is buried in modern beliefs. I'm not sure why I even came this way. It is not a section I frequent often.

Hello, I'm new in this forum, it would be nice to join your group if you are to have a Bible study started. I can participate in your discussions if we are to read directly from the Bible. Since we are going to read the Bible, it would be correct to cite Bible passages to be explained also by other passages that is also found in the Bible. If we are to give our opinior or personal knowledge regarding the passages in the Bible, it would not seem right to accept, since how do you know if it is the real meaning God gave to it in the Bible?

To give you an example, read in Revelation 10:7, who holds the secrets of God?

7But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets."
Revaltion 10:7 NIV

The prophets are the ones who holds the secret of God, to confirm it in the Bible, read in Amos 3:7...

7 Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing
without revealing his plan
to his servants the prophets.
Amos 3:7 NIV

This is the confirmation that the prophets are the only ones who hold the secrets of God, and it is reveal to us in prophecies and others... not to the apostles...

Well, for now that is what I can suggest you to pursue, who really holds the knowledge or secrets of God... and maybe we can discover the truth about God and His true Name.
