Now that Man City are the planet's richest football club it can't be long 'til they buy the title. I know you Reds must be anxious, but I live for the day that City take the title from you.
![]() Is the level of foreign investment and ownership good for the Premiership? Will Manchester City be European champions some day soon? Will it be the death of Fergie?

I'm not that worried. As nuaeman said, they can buy everyone they want, but it doesn't make them a good team. That takes time and more than just good players. A perfect example of this is right here in America with the New York Yankees. For years, they've been by far the richest team in baseball, and bought all of the best players. Yet, they haven't gotten close to a championship for many years now.
As long as we have Fergie, I'm not worried. Once he's gone, things should still be fine, but it's a little more iffy. Plus, we aren't just a collection of great players, we're a team. Most of our players were not huge signings of superstars, but players who became great with the club.

Go away out of that. For example - United payed £31 million for Rooney when he was only eighteen.

Anyway, this is nothing more than vain hope from a jealous Liverpool/Sunderland fan (who can't even decide on a favorite team). ![]()

Sunderland are my favourite. But at the sharp end it's Liverpool - Keep an eye out, you'll see them up ahead of you at the end of the year!
