How many tattoos do you have? and why or why not?
What are they and what do they mean to you?

(Saw one other topic about this, but some couldn't or don't know how to post the pictures. I am also curious about the reasons and meanings though - post a pic. if you wish though)

None. I'm scared of needles. If I ever got one it would have to be somewhere that wouldn't show in regular or nice clothing, and where it wouldn't be horrible distorted from pregnancies (I want a big family).

1 ) I believe my body is a temple (figurativley speaking), and should be treated as such, but that is just for me. I think some tattoos I've seen are amazing!

3, for now. the first one was a small homemade cross on my left arm,wanted it to match an old friend. the second one I got was a marvin the martian, well, because marvin rocks which is on my right calf and on my left shoulder, darth vader, who is not only the baddest man in the galaxy, the personification of evil, but deep inside a remorseful and loving being. kind of like the image I have, mean on the outside but actually a kind and caring person. I have one that I drew myself and then had a custom tatoo artist apply to my arm as well as my fiancee's arm. It is a rose being held down by chains and one of the chains is breaking. It is a symbol of love overpowering all odds. Hence the tiny rose snapping the chain. I'll post a picture later

I look at the things people build in the name of God and the temples especially. How beautifully we have and do decorate them! I only decorate myself with symbols of my relationship with that I know as GOD! (wink wink) There are representations of my relationship with my spirituality......

None of mine are visible to anyone, lest they know I have them and ask to see them! (I am "respectible" in my "everyday" life, but true to myself as well - most people think I have none!! ha ha, makes me laugh!)

I have three.

I have a shamrock on my chest and two suns...one on my back...a pretty colorful fellow and a balck tribal sun on my left ankle.

My first tattoo is my favorite...in fact he has a name, Doyle. He's a sun on my back...a green eyed...very detailed sun. He was a present to me, from me, with love for my nineteenth birthday. He represents this...that regardless of how bad things seem...the sun will always be shining against my back...

The second tattoo is my shamrock...which simply is a small tribute to my Irish ancestory. I'm also into green...so it's just been hanging out there...

And there's no special story really behind my little tribal sun on my ankle...I just think it's cute...
