Default Sikh view of Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, etc.?

Just wondering, do Sikhs have a specific outlook on teachers prior to Guru Nanak? Specifically Muhammad, Jesus, etc.? Do they view them all as having taught the same message?

Default Sikh view of Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, etc.?

The Sikh outlook on teachers prior to Guru Nanak is simple as defined by Guru Nanak: "All paths lead ultimately to god”, but more so he preached being in the presence of saints (any religion), in fact his message effectively said if you are Christian be a good one if you are a Buddhist be a good one etc,
Ultimately the message of Sikhism as I understand it, is down to the individual level, in fact all the Sikh guru's ultimately preached that the Sikhs were to listen to sprit above all else, and that is the same regardless of religion practised. Hope this answers your question....

Welcome Sdad and thanks for your reply

Hi Yosef ,

i feel ,Sikh view of Jesus , Mohammad ....... is unlike the view of their followers .

this difference is due to difference in view of Guru ( Dharmic )AND Prophet ( Abrahmic) , Guru is One With Supereme Lord , my Signature .
Sikh s have no problem in accepting Jesus ,Mohamad as One with BIG ONE as Guru Nanak sahib SAYS in Japji sahib

Countless meditations, countless loves.

Countless worship services, countless austere disciplines.

Countless scriptures, and ritual recitations of the Vedas.

Countless Yogis, whose minds remain detached from the world.

Countless devotees contemplate the Wisdom and Virtues of the Lord.

Countless the holy, countless the givers.

Countless heroic spiritual warriors, who bear the brunt of the attack in battle (who with their mouths eat steel).

Countless silent sages, vibrating the String of His Love.

Hiya Yosef the Heretic ...

Sikhism has no such issues with the existence of Hazrath Muhammad(SAW) or Hazrath Jesus(AS)...infact there are a few verses of praise towards them in the Sri Guru Granth Sahib...

Below is a verse which praises Hazrath Muhammad(SAW) in the Sri Guru Granth Sahib:

Sri Granth: Search Results

I hope this might help ...
