Oh, sorry i was using the actives link and didn't notice what subdivision we were in.

Yeah, it is difficult to pinpoint a point of someone elses perspective.

Good luck!

When I do work with the spirits, I sometimes use a percussion instrument. It may be a bell, a bowl, a stick on some wood, or a drum. Some of my greatest experiences came when playing my acoustic set. But I love drumming, I've been doing it for a while. But sadly, I can't recall any drumming cds for you. I'm sorry. I know, I'm worthless.

Thank you all for your input .

Majikthise , I love Kodo , but it isn't quite what I'm looking for here .

Druidus , Eagle Beat ? I have heard that somewhere before . Thanks , I will check it out .

PW , most FN music that I have heard includes chants , flutes , or rattles . Don't get me wrong , I love it all , but it isn't what I'm looking for here . The flutes would be ok , I think , or the right chants . But the steady rash of a rattle gets to me after awhile . I have been trying to stay clear of the rattle and the only reason that I got this CD was because it came with a book . I will be checking out the Friendship Center's gift shop , asking about an Eagle beat though .

anami , no problem . I kinda thought as much { it has happened to me ** , and had a smile over your question .

MV , you are never worthless . I'm trying for a deeper journey then I have had so far though , and if I manage , I will not be able to beat my own drum . Walking a solo Path does have it's drawbacks , I guess ...

BTW The Foundation for Shamanic Studies offers a CD for $16 U.S. , but I was hoping to get some feedback before ordering it .

heh... thats cool. Personally I can't hear drums without wanting to sing and rattle along.

I take it your looking for strait drumming... no songs, no additional instruments?

Yes PW , I am looking for just the drums . Although they do tend to have the same effect on me as they do on you . So I'm not sure if they will help or not . I am also looking for a beat , about the same as a heart beat .

I visited the local New Age store yesterday , as well as the Friendship Center . Neither had heard of an " Eagle beat ". However , there is a Pow Wow coming up on Father's Day , so I may find something there ?

BTW I have made journeys , using my heart beat as rhythm . So the drum isn't really needed . It is just that I'm told it helps .
