Ok, I met yesterday a spirit I have never come in contact before. It was completely unlike anything I had ever experienced, and supposedly a very powerful spirit. It's the spirit of doors, or of passageways. Supposedly when we put up barriors, or if the are naturally made, a spirit watches over it because when a perceptive spirit passes through a door or a passageway, their whole perception changes. A new place, a new world almost. And the spirit helps the mind cope with this, so we don't go insane. I was able to let it allow me to pass without it doing its work, and I must say, it was a CRAZY experience!!! I wonder if anyone else has had this happen to them...
When you get into the new room or area, your mind goes blank except for what your senses are perceiving. You can't think about it, you can't accept it, or deny it, you are just caught. Ever hear of the gate keeper? Thats what it is. Pretty heavy stuff.

Hi, MV. I just read your post on grounding, and it's funny how it connects with how I wanted to respond to this post. I think it is great that you have such clear vision, my eyes have were not conditioned to see the spirit world, however, I feel things. I'm a kino. I learn by doing, and I feel a persons aura, or nature, or what have you. I've never had words to explain it well. I know of the spirits you met yesterday, but I was only aware of the big gate between death of our body/spirit separating from body. But now that you have pointed it out to me, I do remember experiences where I was almost stunned by the awkening to a truth. And then when I would try to find words to explain my experience, I would come across as a babbling idiot.

Have you ever experienced this just by walking into, say, your kitchen? They are there too. It's quite odd how our normal day lives are not so normal.

![]() With regard to doorways, I was very interested to hear your interaction, MV. I hadn't thought of it before, but I do use doorways a lot as a part of my spiritual practices (putting barriers on doorways, mental 'welcome' signs on others). I suppose that it had never occured to me before to think of it as a being in its own right, but that makes perfect sense!

Hope you don't mind me poking in here, I'm a longtime student of folklore, and this sounded a lot like something that James G. Fraser comments on in The Golden Bough.
The original concept of the Roman god Janus was as a god of doorways or passages, who had two faces so that he could look both ways at once. While Janus' appearance in a pantheon otherwise derived from the Greek has baffled other scholars, Fraser claims to have discovered multifaced images in other cultures in far-flung sides of the world that suggest Janus is a derivative of a universal concept similar to the one that you describe--a god of transitions, of borders between the worlds we fashion for ourselves. Just an idle comment. At any rate, I'm interested in hearing more about this Spirit of Doors that you encountered. |

Yes , your experience is very interesting MV .
I'm a lot like EnchantedSpirit , in that I tend to " feel " things , more then see experience them with my senses . But yes , I have have interesting experiences with doors also . They are passage ways from one place to another after all . One crosses a barrier . Very symbolic , even if we do it a thousand or so times each day . Never though of them having their own " guardian " Spirits through .
