Is pornography liberating women, or enslaving them?

If the woman wants to do, it's no problem. The problem is if they are forced or threatened to do it.

Agreed. And lets not forget women are not the only gender that does adult entertainment. Why do you never see talks like this for men?

I think that disallowing them to perform in pornography would be more demeaning and enslaving than allowing them.
Let's face it, sex is a basic element to the human condition. It's going to show up in any art form, including video, photography, literature, etc. Saying that it demeans women defines a woman's sexuality for her, which is a form of enslavement.

Hmm, very good point. But can I ask, can pornography hurt the image of women, whether she enjoys it or not? There are porn actresses who enjoy their "rape" scenes, and what not, but the ultimate image at the end does not depict this...

Is it more demeaning or enslaving to not allow a woman to express her sexuality, or to interpret her sexuality in a particular way? I think that the problem of depiction will always be there regardless; there's danger and risk in someone putting themselves out there.

Well in sexual fanaties men usually objectify women just as I objectify men.
I would like to see males play up their vulnerable side a bit more in porn... ![]()
