discussing sexuality (conservative)

How many of you talk about sex with your parnter or people you are dating. Do you talk about your likes dislike fantasies or are you more reserved about sharing your likes and dislikes? How well do you have to know a person before you talk to them about sex and do you talk to others you don' t have sex with and if so for what reason?

P.S putting on a moderator hat for one second in the same opening post I would love it if you didn't specify what it is you talk about or describe your fantasizes or desires here!

Rob, I don't really want to infer anything, but you seem to be very sex-orientated in your posts.............

No Fantacies; when you have been married 30 years, been there at the birth of both your children, nursed your wife, been nursed by her, I guess there's not much either of you don't know about the other!

We can say anything we like to each other about sex, have been able to since we were first married; I guess we are lucky.

How often do I talk to my partner about sex? I talk to my Acme Love Doll every night, but she never answers. I think she has "issues" about sex, and that's the real reason she never answers. I've even offered to pay for her counseling, but she's silent about that too. She's just not the communicative type.

Two ideas:

1) Buy a doll with talking voice
2) record whatever 1-900 # you call and play it when you are with you "special friend"

I am really open with my sexuality. I see sexuality as a hedonistic endeavor between consenting adults and that shapes my thinking and practice of it. I usually have to be reserved when speaking about it to women I date to find their comfort level which is usually much more conservative than mine. I talk to my women friends whom I don't sleep with about sex weekly. I don't talk about it with guys much but in the last year a couple of the gay guys at my part time job talked about it and it was interesting because it is so foreign to me. I think that just like anything else in life being open about it is a great way to grow and learn in life. I find my interests lie in more technical aspects of sexuality and i can be pretty detailed but most women prefer to talk about fantasies. Sometimes that makes it a give and take where they talk about fantasies and I reveal mine but than ask what they have tried and vice versa and how they/I think would various meathods for enhancing that pleasure. I am much more open with a steady GF or with a platonic friend than I am with someone I am not exclusive with though.

You are so 'open' with yourr technicalities, you remind me of an ex of mine; she used to go into graphic details with me about her sex life after we had split up. Somehow I felt a 'voyeur'....but I guess that's just me.

My wife and my sex life is very healty, because we talk about our likes and dislikes. I know what she likes and wants and visa versa, and we both try to satisfy each others fantasies.

I picked-up being techincal with my body from martial arts where that is really a large tool. At some point in life, maybe around 25-30 I realized it could apply to sexuality after reading some of the "Joy of sex" books and seeing how they looked at body positioning angling and leverage to enhance pleasure. The way I see it, it may not be as arousing as talking about fantasizes but if info is gained or shared it has bigger rewards during application. Just my opinion though.

That is really harsh when they tell you after you split up. I wouldn't like that at all. That would hurt too much. Since you brought up the word voyeur, I am wondering if she was a bit of an exhibitionists?

Isn't technique one of the most overlooked and ignored aspects of human sexuality? I can recall very few conversations I've had with anyone on it.
