Here are a few resources that I thought might be helpful for people dealing with sexuality issues:

• The Trevor Helpline is the first round-the-clock national toll-free suicide hotline for gay and questioning youth. It's open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. 800-850-8078.
  
• The Human Rights Campaign has posted a guide to coming out. It includes basic info as well as contact numbers and links for other organizations.
  
• PFLAG is a great resource for friends and family of LGBT folks.

For resources concerning violence, the two biggest groups seem to be located in NYC and SF, though they can be resources to people living anywhere in the country:

• Community United Against Violence 24-hour Support Line at (415) 333-HELP is open to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Queer and Questioning survivors of hate violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, and police abuse. Calls during business hours can be translated into Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, Tagalog, Vietnamese and other languages.
  
• New York City's Anti-Violence Project maintains a list of resources with info also on Hate Crimes, Domestic Violence, HIV/AIDS, and Transgender issues.

I would, however like to emphasise that the above site is one dedicated to Christian Gays, Lesbians............and it might appeal to American Christian homosexuals as well.

The London Lesbian and Gay Switchboard provide a 24 hour phone service to anyone in the UK on 0207 837 7324. LLGS offer information, support and referrals to lesbians, bisexuals, gay men, transsexuals and straight people wanting information on gay issues. You can also visit their website at http://www.llgs.org.uk.

Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays or FFLAG offers confidential support, information and a sympathetic ear for parents, families, straight partners and friends of lesbian, gay and bisexual people. You can phone them on 01454 852 418. Or write to FFLAG at PO Box 84, Exeter EX4 4AN. You can also e-mail than at info@fflag.org.uk, or visit their website at http://www.fflag.org.uk.

The only organisation specifically supporting those who find themselves married to a gay or lesbian partner is the international Straight Spouse Network. Their website is http://www.ssnetwork.org and you can contact the UK section by e-mail at ssnetwork@softhome.net.

If you're a young person affected by homophobia or an adult concerned about a young person, EACH - Educational Action Challenging Homophobia offers support for young people including the children of a gay or lesbian parent.
