The methods of science are for constructing ontological models based on probability. Science does not generate true/false dichotomies, so science doesn't "disprove" anything, least of all a purely aesthetic and individualized perception like "God."
Science generates inductive models with more or less certainty based on the explanatory "fit" between the known evidence and the theories proposed to explain that evidence. ID does not propose an inductive model whose certainty can be evaluated against known evidence. It is not, therefore, science.

What I meant was a person's science and religion do not have to be at war with each other, that it is possible to have them co-exist. Where one fails (through lack of evidence now or whatever) the other can pick up and there can some overlap.

The existence of a God creating the world is history, not science. ID is no more a science than the building of the World Trade Centre complex. Science has to do with predictable results. Unless we can find a predictable pattern to God's creation of Universes, it is not a science. This has nothing to do with whether or not God created the world. God could have, but it would still not be a science. Do you understand now?

The leaders of the Creationist/Id Movement have been caught in too many lies. Now they want us to believe that this movie of theirs portrays something like the truth. Well, they've lied way too often for any informed person to believe them or their trash movie.

IMO, Creationism and Chaos are equally unscientific Ideas. I also believe that they should both be left entirely out of school books. Just teach the kids real, physical science, and let them draw their own conclusions.

It appears to be focusing on intolerance. If someone has a differing opinion, is he not allowed to have it? To say that intelligent design has no place in the scientific community is not logic, it's dogma.
