It doesn't. It relates to Arthur Conan Doyle. That's what I thought you were asking me to explain.

Science and religion don't belong together.
1. Creationism is not science. 2. A scientific theory is nothing more then a hypothesis based on evidence 3. Darwinism is not a religion, its a scientific theory, the theory of evolution However, sometimes people think that scientific theories discredit religion, causing conflict between science and religion. This conflict has crated a culture that embraces atheists and disregards religious people as ignorant. And this culture has crated a pseudo-religion called science. I have even here people claiming that they “believe in science.” Science is not a religion, people |

Because it doesn't apply a scientific methodology.

Science and religion are NOT exclusive of each other.

If, according to this film, scientists (who, I assume, employ a scientific methodology) come to the conclusion, as a result of their scientific methodologies, that a higher intelligence is very likely, then your statement makes no sense.

They can't make that conclusion based upon their methodologies but in spite of their methodologies. As Gentoo said, science depends upon testable hypotheses and God is not subject to testing.

Your assumption is mistaken. Scientists can reach all sorts of opinions without applying a scientific methodology, and such is the case with intelligent design. Just because credentialed scientists believe in it, does not give that belief a basis in science, any more than credentialed scientists enjoying Big Macs over Whoppers gives that preference a basis in science.
