respectively, i already said that telomeres shorten during the DNA transcription process (when DNA copies) because they need the crap that is in the telomeres in order to make new cells, we just need to know how to regenerate the "storehouse" of telomere s h i t, right now scientists are looking at the immortal telomere supply of cancer to see what makes them unending, admittedly some do end but that is because other existing mutations

I think it would be *terrible* if people lived much longer than a century. Look -- us old farts get set in our ways, for good or evil, and in order for humanity to continue to progress, we stick in the muds must move out of the way at some point.

Frankly, I would not like to live in a world where the same people who were in charge in the 50s were still in charge.

We've screwed up some things royally since then, but we've made progress in a lot of areas too.

Well, it's not like you necessarily have to have a *physical* eternity to see that. You just gotta join yourself a religion that believes you can look on from a spiritual eternity to find out how it all ends. And if time is not linear in that realm, maybe you'll get your wish to see how it began too.

You do realize that there are some regions on Earth where the birth rate is declining, right?

They tend to be areas where women enjoy greater equality with men and are educated. Hm...now there's a thought for how we might bring down the population.

My sister is having her fourth in a couple months, and she is 34 years old. She had her third when she was 30. My mom had me in her late 30s.
