Ok, all I'm saying is that this classification thing still seems very odd to me. Surely everyone has a view on evolution based on scientific evidence/religious beliefs or a combination of the two. Is that what you want to distinguish between?
Because, taking those who use only the scientific evidence, I don't see that there could be any distinctions between non-experts (as experts are likely to be the only ones fully versed in unsolved areas being looked into at present enough to be able to take different opinions on subjects). Is there really anyone who takes a strict line that everything Darwin came up with is true, and that no refinements since then are true? That would be like denying that Newton's laws were anything other than perfect, and rejecting all physics since then.

Sure there would be. Just look at at evearael's response. Some people are more attached in having the evolution theory be true then others. My stance is similar to that of evearael's.

But, that's the attitude that anyone who basis their beliefs on science should have towards any theory. Any evolutionist would agree that if a completly new theory replaced it, and the evidence was overwhelming, then they would move to the new theory.

Did you read the differences in the article I provided?

Yes. There's nothing in there that isn't in your post anyway. You find me an evolutionist who doesn't believe that things like genetic drift and sexual selection take place.
There's plenty of distinctions within evolutionary scientists. But I don't think that they can be fairly summed up as a scale as to the degree to which they stick to original Darwinism.

Yeah I'm the same.

I'd be very surprised if Natural Selection was demonstrably proven false beyond needing some minor adjustments but a more precise & accurate modification of it that would render the theory as it is now more simplistic in comparison wouldn't surprise me at all.

Listening to some of you guys, you would think that Darwin was adopted.
