One is fact, the other is fiction.

Science has not been able to prove NOR disprove the existence of God. So your argument is pretty much moot. |

in my oppinion, one deals with fact, the other deals in the possible interpritations of those facts
religion, by the way, does not depend upon their being a deity who created the universe, maybe you missunderstand that - yes, many religions worship a deity who they believe to be the great creator etc, but the religion iteslf is the established system of worship and fellowship, not just based on God but on Morality as well, so yes you may very well criticise religion because of their unproven claim to God, but i fail to see how you dismiss religion as pure fiction when it is a strong force for getting people to think about their own morality.... in othe words, i doubt you thought about Religion as much as you have thought about Science before posting this "argument" - though should i call it an argument? arguments are usually conclusions, formed on the basis of debatable premesis.... ![]()

They're not completely incompatible. Besides, you need a better argument than that to prove anything.
