Note that Peter went out to Jesus, and walked, then doubted, and began to sink and Jesus pulled Peter back up. Jesus did many miracles to show that He was God, He calmed the storm, walked on water, multiplied the loaves and fishes, healed the blind, sick, lepers, deaf, maimed, etc. These miracles over nature, like calming the storm, was to show His power over all the earth. The miracles also helped men to understand who He was. He forgave people of their sins, which only God can do, making Himself equal with the Father. He said, if you don't believe I can forgive this mans sins, believe for the very works sake, in other words, look I just healed this person, an organic healing, you all could see, believe my words, believe ME, because you see these miracles I do. Do you believe?
