Default Creationists and stars...

Do Creationists believe stars are distant suns like our own, or do they still think that they are holes in the veil through which heaven shines?

If it is the former, how can they possibly believe that the Earth and/or universe is only 5-6,000 years old? Do they simply reject the discovery of the speed of light?

I would consider myself a "creationist" in that I believe that God created the world. I'm not convinced that the earth/universe is only 6000 years old though. I can see that it wouldn't be much harder for God to place light in a trajectory from each of the stars at any given distance from them at the time of the creation - so I'm assuming that a young earther would believe something like that.

That's interesting Soy, but it does beg the question - why would He bother?

I would say, yes, God does some things for our enjoyment. Something like the Grand Canyon. It's there so that we can ride donkeys down it.

Yeah, but my point is. Why didn't He just do it exactly like it says in the bible, just make the stars lights in the sky rather than distant stars that He then has to play around with so we can see them?

There is no surface of the earth that survives from the time of earths formation.
Even the Grand Canyon was formed by erosion.

If there are beings on other worlds, do Creationists believe they were made in Gods image?

I'm assuming a creationist is anybody who believes that God made all.

I believe that stars are distant suns like our own. I believe that God made them. I think they're beautiful. And those are pretty much the extent of my thoughts on stars.
