Actually I don't think it would; I just want to see how proponents of that particular theory would teach about this formation; how they would divide up the scientific and theological aspects; and what the result would look/sound like.

It could do, but I guess your first test would be to prove that the same set of circumstances could not happen of their own accord, without 'outside help'.

My point was that if you are going to teach intelligent design, it must account for all observed occurences, mustn't it? Of what use is a theory that only is applicable in certain highly specialized situations, and doesn't apply to anything observed which doesn't fit those specific parameters?

None. But everyone already knows that. That's why we have to all teach our children to have faith in what other PEOPLE tell us without proof or evidence, faith in dusty old books from halfway around the world. I mean, isn't this what learning is all about...?

One other point, ID isn't a theory according to the proponents. It is indisputable fact. Science is a model of reality, ID is THE one and only explanation - apples & oranges. I still can't even see how the two are even remotely related...
