I exist in this very moment because I choose to embrace it. When I choose to no longer exist in this rhelm, I will return to my creator who is the author of all existance. Blessings and honor to the One who allows me to choose this existance.

I am beginning to understand that the Creator of all existance gives us the choice to live in this rhelm. Perhaps I am wrong. I am not saying that I have any inside information to point to this idea. Think about it this way. The Creator of the universe wants to create life, a being like himself. To what end you ask...? Well He Is, but He doesn't experience. So He says let us create beings in our image. Why? So that He may experience life, as His creations do. Why else would He create Jesus? Jesus was sent to redeem but at the same time He was sent to experience our existance, no? Who can we look at to understand us completely, who felt all of the things that we have felt, how better for God to experience our existance than to send His own essence? Did He choose this existance? Yes! Did He give us choice to exist, since we are made in His image? Perhaps. I know that I exist, I know that He exists, I know that I am the very imprint of the essence of God. Therefore, I choose to exist because the creator of the universe allows me to choose. It is just a theory. I won't know til I get there. Frankly I have a lot of questions too.
Sometimes I don't think things through to be politically correct. Sometimes I just go with the instant understanding of my soul. Right or wrong at the moment, I feel that I should express my feelings. Who knows, maybe I will be right at least half of the time. God only knows. Praise be to God, the awesome Creator and humorist. Blasphemey, I think not! Frankly my friends who know me, I don't know where this came from tonight. Gosh, I almost forgot an important thing. Suicide? No never! I did not mean choice that way. I meant that when the soul finds it's existance to have done all that it can do here, whether conciously or subconciously, it will begin to give up the soul to the Creator. God knows how long we should be here, He knew before we were born. It is we who say to Him from deep within our being, "Father I wish to be with you again, please take me home" This is what I mean by it is my choice. This request is not born of any misery, or a crying out, it is a sublime desire to be with Him. He sees it and in His time , says " Yes, beloved , come to me." I know most will not understand my way of thinking, sometimes I don't know where it comes from. But for the most part I don't think God wants to interfere with our choices. He gave us life and the understanding of right and wrong and then said, "You have said yes to life. Here is your life, go for it. I love you no matter what. Make your choices. I will be waiting for you when you are ready. "

Something else to think on: mathematics is a way of explaining this "reality" The same mathematics is used to create "virtual reality." For all purposes, the objects within a computer system is as "real" as we consider reality. A chair generated by the computer has mass and gravitational pull just as a chair in "reality" does. Computers for all purposes create a world that exists in a different universe based on our own. Each follow the same laws of physics and mathematics and accordingly as real as the other. Considering this, we can exist in two places if we could write a computer program that would create a complete person, both in reactions and in body. Of course, the human mind has yet to be reduced into an algorithm....it seems that while we can explain everything using mathematics except ourselves, perhaps we all generate our own worlds through the mind's perceptions.

I thought everyone knew we lived in the matrix, in a giant computer floating in hyperspace, that was controlled by the invisible pink unicorn, who creates us as glorified code and applies us to her grand design of nonexistence, and that it is all contained in a huge ping-pong ball, which is constantly eaten by a bobcat made out of asbestos.
this scenario is no more provable than the scenario in which we live in. |

Martha, thanks for the clarification. You mean "choice" in a metaphysical, afterlife sort of way. I gotcha.
