I'm a firm believer in 'Ghosts and the Paranormal' - although I don't like the 'Label' - I would prefer Spirits (or souls) and nature. 'Para'normal I don't like either -because what I do believe in (To me) is not 'above the normal' but to me is what is there, but we can't see it with our limited perceptions. Para of course is subject to your definition of normal.

I have talked to 'ghosts' - when I was much younger; I had some friends and we all had a 'go' at cards and the glass, ouija board, etc. I even believe that when my Grandmother in Belgium was dying, that I could communicate with her on my own (using a pendulum).

No doubt people will scoff, but that is my belief.

well at least ten people I know of saw the same thing I did at around the same time. So I don't consider myself 'elite'.

As I said earlier this is one phenomina for wich I have yet to find a 'rational' explanation.

Well, there are so many different view points on ghosts or spirits or souls or whatever you choose to call it. Why can't people come to some kind of a general concensus? I mean ... EVERYONE can't be right about it while at the same time harboring different viewpoints.

Mostly its a disagreement of symantics. Surely not everyone can be correct, but why cannot alot of people be correct? Why does everything have to the same? That would be boring, and illogical.

Even so, if one claims to be able to speak or communicate with spirits, without the general concensus or other people acknowledging and affirming it, could that not be something made up in the mind of one person? I mean, one can claim to be able to do it, but if others, and by others, i'm saying a 2d or third person agreeing with you that it's real, then wouldn't it be fake?

Not necessarily so. But it is a possibility. Even a general consensus doesn't necessitate fact. Just because the majority say something is so, doesn't make it so. I was afraid of my own insanity for a LOOONG time. But I have been tested many times, and no dissociative or personality disorder. And I have been able to teach people to pereceive the spirits as well. So I'm pretty sure it isn't fake. Not everyone has to agree with me, but that doesn't make it fake.

You seem perfectly sane to me and I wasn't implying otherwise. I was saying however that if what you say is true, and that you not only believe in the existance of spirits, but know that for a true fact, shouldn't you teaching the masses rather than a few people? If something as mysterious as spirits really do exist, then why not prove to others their existance and once and for all get the misconceptions out of the way? It would just be sharing something important, like a cure to a disease.

If these spirits really do exist as you implied, then what gives them the right to freely roam in my house, my room, and invade my privacy? It's pretty disturbing to know that there are spirits or whatever they're considered residing with me in this very room right now as I type this. If one could talk to these spirits who supposedly roam free everywhere - even in my room - then wouldn't that person be in a sense invading my privacy as well since they could ask the "spirits" about me?
