They would still have to implant the DNA in the zygote of an animal large enough to bear T-Rex eggs. I can't think of much able to do that, except maybe salt water crocodiles, or maybe komodo dragons. Maybe it would work in a bird? An ostrich or emu could be used. It would be beneficial to study a live one, and who knows, they might be like fish. They only grow until anymore size would be detrimental. People could have small pet T-Rexs guarding their houses.
*Sit Rex, sit!*

At best they will pull out some fragments of DNA and Protiens...
However, it may prove useful to compair it to Birds and Crocs and see whats closer to what. I remember hearing about something similer with Triceratops DNA... but that may have turned out to be contamination... from someones turkey sandwich! ![]() another article from Nature... I'll see if I can get to the Science article at school. http://www.nature.com/news/2005/0503...050321-13.html oh, and T.rex grew more like birds and mammals than fish, so a little space wouldn't keep him little. He could go from a chicken sized hatchling to a 40 foot long adult in about 16 years, gaining a whopping 5 pounds a day at max growth. (Based on the growth pattern of the bones.) At any case he would take a lot of feeding and probably wouldn't be all that friendly. ![]() wa:do
