This is a true statement but I am stating that energy is just the movement of matter through different potentials and not a thing like matter. I am also stating science claims energy is a thing, which means you could see it handle it and do things to it. If you don't have matter there is no energy. It is more away of thinking. If you limit your way of thinking then you miss possible solutions.

Energy or movement of matter exists in all things so in reality Energy and Matter are Matter and what we call energy is the movement of matter. I wrote it the way I wrote it to make a point.

I think science only claims energy to be a "thing" in the sense that they have to refer to it in some way. Not because you can do things to it, (in fact, energy IS the DOING), but because "it" needs a label so we all know we are talking about the same "thing".

I believe science is coming to this understanding but it is not there yet. I also like messing with people who think science is the answer to it all.

Last I heard Light behaved like a wave and a particle the particle to light was the photon and I believe it is still listed as matter not energy like the electron is still matter.

I've also read that if you detect light as a particle, you can no longer detect that same "bit" of light as a wave. (through some complicated systems, I didn't really understand how they tested this), and that if you detect it as a wave, you can't detect the same "bit" as a particle. The detection of the "bit" of light dictates what it is. At least.. that's how I understood it to work.

No, it isn't. Matter can be transformed into energy and vice versa. Energy is not a verb.
