Choosing my first DSLR
My favorite hobby when I was younger was photography. I had a fully manual film SLR with a 50mm lense and a big 50-200mm zoom lense. I had fun experimenting with different ISO films, f-stops, exposure times, and focal lengths and got lots of complements on the pictures I took. After college, my camera dissappeared and I'm left with just the zoom lense full of cobwebs. I'm looking to get back into my old hobby. My wife is going to chip in to get me a DSLR for my birthday. I'm debating between a few different Nikon, Canon, and Sony cameras. Cost is the biggest obstacle. I'd be taking mostly portraits and landscapes. I'm really out of touch with current DSLR technology. I'll take it to the park and on vacations too. Any recommendations?
