I think that science proves many beliefs the followers of religion and God cling to wrong.
I do not bleive that it is actively trying to do so.
Science is merely the search for truth.
That is why whenever something is shown to be wrong, it is changed to reflect what is known to be right.

Good point. But the question is fatally flawed: 'religions' is too heterogenous a category while 'God' can mean any number of things.
