Default Lunar Eclipse, 28 August 2007
This morning at approx. 0450 EDT the Moon started to go into a total lunar eclipse. This time around, I was able to watch it (got clouded out last time), and I managed to get a few pictures.

Here's the moon at totality:



I know, astronomy magazines and the news are sure to have better ones, but this is mine!

Some friends of mine told me that while the moon was entering partial eclipse, a meteor passed in front of it - anyone see it?

One of the crazy boys working with us said that he saw two moons - perhaps he saw the meteor!

I didn't even know there was an eclipse. I woke up so many times last night I could have peeked through the window!

I saw the eclipse too. I've never seen anything like it. I can understand why pre-astronomy civilizations might be a little freaked out by it. It was quite impressive.
