Default Have you all heard of this? Possible alien life here on earth...

http://edition.cnn.com/2006/TECH/sci...ain/index.html

What do you think? Could it be alien life? Or do you believe there is some other explanation? Has this come up before?

This is just a bump to see if anyone cares or is paying attention.

Truly fascinating. This could have profound implications. I'll be interested to see what further experiments reveal.

I especially liked the last line in that story ... that even he remains skeptical of his own evidence. The mark of a true scientist!

Has anyone read about this anywhere else or heard of it? The news is kind of shocking by its absence.

I think I saw it on the BBC a while back... It will be interesting once the tests are done, regardless of the explanation.

Very interesting, only problem i have is that the guy is a physicist, would he really know what he's looking for in terms of life?

It could be a red tinted prokaryote with an unusually small amount if DNA.

It could be an unknown form of Earth-life.

I'm also looking forward to their findings.

As others have said: very interesting. I like that they are willing to think about how this may affect the thought of origins of life here. Which is what I think is very possible anyway. Why not?
