O.K. i give up on my ****ty little web provider, i can't handle non responsive one day out of three cox, any suggestions on a dsl provider?

We've had Verizon for two months, with no issues so far... (though we had plenty of issues with them on the eastern coast).

Well i live in the west coast, so i think ill put verizon on the list of possibilites. My web connection was down for more than a DAY on saturday, thats the last straw for cox communications.

Well are you on a budget? You should consider getting cable since it is faster than DSL. DSL is still good though! The only DSL I have used was SBC Yahoo DSL and it seemed fine when I used it (at a friends house awhile ago). I think that's like 14.99 a month or so.
