"Magic Jack" is garbage.
A few months back I decided to try out the Magic Jack. However lately it abruptly stopped functioning, stating it's unable to connect to the internet. I haven't done anything that would've changed my network settings or port configurations or whatever, and everything else works fine. Also, people who've tried to call my number since then have been answered by someone else. I was told that the person on the other end said they just bought a magic jack. So it seems my number that I paid for was for some reason assigned to another Magic Jack user. So I navigate their vague and cryptic labyrinth that is customer support and get into this live chat assistance. The person on the other end took an eternity between responses (which were unhelpful and useless anyway) and eventually stopped responding to me all together. So anyway I've been trying to research a solution and did some reading on the product and the company seems like a rather shady one. Fortunately I wasn't using the line as my primary phone, so I would advice anyone not to buy one for anything other than a novelty.

Hey, Magic Jack may be crap, but the Slap Chop is great. THANK YOU, VINCE.
That orange wipey thing though (on the infomercials - can't remember what it's called now) is total crap. Vince is lying about that one.
