If a person is completely convinced of an invisible, spiritual, pink teacup orbiting the earth because it can't be disproved (it is an untestable hypothesis), only that person's reasoning could lead him/her to another conclusion, and it can also depend on how much comfort a person derives from the concept, say, an afterlife.
For some people, I don't think anything would convince them to let go of firmly held beliefs based on faith; some people even believe that the whole point of believing in God is to believe based on solely faith (though I'm sure many theists here would disagree in part at least.) James
