Assalamualaikum.
So ... what if Quran and Sunnah contradict each other? Which should we give precedence to?

If it's a sahih hadith, it will not.

it would never happen as abu khalid said,
the character of the prophet (saw) was the quraan so the prophet never went against the quraan unlike mirza ghulam ahmed

A group of ulema came together, did extensive research, made a criteria for which Hadith are Sahih, and came to the conclusion that the Hadith in 6 books are accurate or Sahih. That is all. On what authority can we claim that there are no human errors in this process? God has given us assurances within the Quran that He will protect the Quran. What assurances do we have that all reported Hadith are accurate? Note that Imam Bukhari, Imam Muslim, and all others are held in high esteem for the work they did and the effort they put into this most noble of tasks. I love them and the work they did. But too much love can bring terrible results (e.g. Christian's love for Jesus). What assurance do we have that all reported Sahih Hadith are accurate?

Oh you are good ... kudos.
BUT I stated that there can be a contradiction between Quran and Hadith. I did not say stating a Hadith is wrong. All I said is that if there is a contradiction between the two we must reject the reported Hadith.

Nope, you said in post # 4 "What assurance do we have that all reported Sahih Hadith are accurate?" So, if you are not sure that hadiths are correct then that means you are not even sure of what you believe in, as an ahmadi. BINGO! isn't it so obvious?

You said: There can't be because these Hadith are Sahih. I said: There can be a contradiction because Sahih Hadith can still have human error in reporting. Therefore, if you can find a contradiction between the Hadith I quoted and the Quran, you are welcome to try. In fact, I must admit, I have the burden of reponsibility to do the exact opposite: prove that the Hadith is very much in line with the Quranic verses. Let me try ... on the other thread.

I can't prove anything to you because you will doubt whatever hadith i use, and believe whatever hadith you come up with. Is that right?

And you give up so soon? Show me a hadith in the apostasy thread which does not contradict the Quran. Show me a verse of the Quran that contradicts the 72 versus 1 hadith in the other thread. And if you can not do either then please remember me and yourself when you say "Show us the right path" in your daily prayers.
