"One Church, one God"
That is what I understand is the meaning of "The holy Catholic Church" in the Apostles creed. Yet I saw just that notice on the side of a Church of England building just down the road from where I live; next door to that Church is a "Latter Day Saints" Church. Denomination are man’s creation, first we must ask ourselves what is the church that Jesus Christ established in his earthly ministry, it was Christianity right? The first followers of the Christ were called Christians and prior to that Nazarenes, Catholic is a later title and Church of England is much, much later. They are Christians aren’t they? Same faith and same God. Can any of you who describe yourselves as "Christians" ever see the Christian faith becoming one again, as it was meant to be ? I am a Christian so I will venture an answer, No as I believe in Jesus Christ as a personal saviour, a church is a gathering of like minded people to worship their saviour, the way that people convert to a faith is different to that of others. My first religious instructions were in the Catholic Church, I don’t call myself Catholic now. I agree with you that this denominational bickering are absurd. I am curious though, how can you be a Christian and Gnostic? Who saves Knowledge? A particular church/denomination? Or Jesus the Christ ( God‘s tabernacles in the mist of humanity)? |

The church of Christ is already "one" Michel, just as Jesus had designed it to be. It is comprised of all those who feel that Love is the answer regardless of what denomination they might belong to. Those who love are my brothers and my sisters.

I would say without equivocation, that despite our differing theologies, Scott and I both consider each other Brothers in Christ.
