Um, so? Both attitudes are equally valid, Kathryn. The question itself somewhat skews the answer. What does it matter if some Christians feel this way and others do not? Does it make either less than the Christians that they are?

In reality it doesn't really matter what one group of Christians think about another group of Christians, imho. In theory some Christians have a narrower view of what it is to be a Christian than others. Also, the statement and your intent behind it is as exclusionary of such believers as their attitudes may be towards others like yourself. Are they somehow less Christian because they are arguably relatively ignorant?

A Christian to me believes the apostles creed, whether that is logical or not. Most Christians think that belief in Jesus is the only path to heaven or god or wherever. Don't know how that jives with the fact that billions have never heard of such a man, now, or in the past.

Sorry you see it that way. I really don't want to comment further, since even though I started this thread, I started it on a forum where I am not permitted to debate. I was just looking for a clarification.

This is to me what a true Christian would be...or any true religious person...regardless of what religion he/she belongs to.

All three of you voted, "A Christian is a person who belongs to a specific Christian denomination." I'm wondering which specific Christian denomination you were thinking of, or if you meant simply that a Christian is a person who is affiliated with a Christian denomination. Would you mind explaining?
