So it seems that my earlier assessment is true. You are not actually looking for the opinions of others for any purpose other than to provide you with a jumping off place for rebuttals, refutations and proselytizing.

Just FYI .... been there done that.... but the Holy Spirit moved me to investigate the "visions" and testimony of Joseph Smith.... belief that he is a fraud led me to deny the BOM.... if I thought it was the true word of God I would be a LDS in a heartbeat.... all we as Catholics care about is the truth--- wherever it comes from.

But you've never read the Book of Mormon, based on your assumption that Joseph Smith was a Fraud? ok. Did you sit down and actually Pray with a desire to know the truth about the "visions" or did you just immediately assume it?

I echo Scott's sentiments. Minus the Catholic part, of course.

Normally, if Christians reject the Book of Mormon, it's because they have very valid reasons for doing so. Not because they've been brainwashed, or told to, or misunderstand Mormonism.

The same question could be pointed back at you. Have you ever sat down and actually prayed with a desire to know the truth about the visions, willing to hear a different answer than the one you assume?
