Ok, believe that. I'm glad you can finally see that my belief doesn't make a difference in yours.

I disagree with you on that point, but who cares? I'm sure we disagree on a lot more than that.

There IS no other priesthood or authority for Christians, only Christ as their Bishop.
So then what "keys" were given to Peter and the other Apostles?

And where there is no law there is no transgression. 16 Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham's offspring—not only to those who are of the law but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all. 17 As it is written: "I have made you a father of many nations." He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were. NIV

What purpose does repentance serve then?

What purpose does the judgement serve then?

Yet, they believe that God, or even the "Mother Mary" would speak to 6 old women in Bosnia?

I'm curious to hear your thoughts on why you think the way you do.
A "true Christian" believes in the Bible (KJV) it has the LAST WORD. In the Mormon religion the Book of Mormon has the last word. Anything after 'but' is of the devil

Those were the keys to a vehicle - the written word by which all believers since their witness have come to Christ.

They were also the keys to the Kingdom - and ScubaPete will understand this I think - the kingdom of heaven which is "at hand" - here and now. It was the final act after the destruction of the priesthood, and the establishment of the new priesthood of all believers, which was accepted on our behalf by the apostles as the first of many to come after them.

Christ did not tear down the priesthood just to re-establish the same order with a new shiny name. No, we are the new priesthood as testified to in I Peter 2.
