Default Muslims only: Questions about shias

bismillah

I have some questions that really bother me and need you people (i'm not shia) to answer, here we go

- If Ali (ra) was choosen by allah to lead the people after the prophets death how come none of the prophets companions followed this? Why didn't Ali (ra) fight back
-How come the ayah where the prophet was in the cave that clearly talks about Abu Bakr(ra) is ignored by shias but claim so many ayah's infer Ali(ra).

-How come Ali (ra) joined the government of Abu Bakr (ra) if Abu Bakr (ra) was astray

- Doesn't it mean that if Abu Bakr had stolen the rights that allah gave to Ali that he and all the companions of the prophet had become kuffar? donesn't this mean Ali(ra) was actually taking part of a kafir government?

- how come the only people that are buried with the prophet are Abu Bakr (ra) and Omar (ra) in Aisha's room?

- If Omar (ra) wasn't suppose to be kalifah how come Ali (ra) married his daughter umm khaltum to him? doesn't it mean she married a kaffir which is prohibited?

-how come the places that were conquered under the khalifah of Omar (ra) are the places that now curse him?

- Why is it Ali (ra) and Abdullah ibn Abbas (ra) served in high postions in Omar's government if Omar was a deviant?

- Why did Abdullah ibn Abbas(ra) and Ali (ra) cry when omar died?

- How come shia's read the quran and still curse Othman(ra), Abu Bakr(ra), and Omar(ra) [it was omar's idea to properly combine the quran, it was done in Abubakr's time and Othman (ra) was the one who distrubuted offical copies]

- Why is it that in the quran it says Aishah is the mother of the believers (surah ahzab ayah 6) yet they curse her (cursing thier own mother)

can you please answer these questions i still have more but first these

Good questions buddy. Since im not a shiite, alhumdulillah, i won't answer these questions. I'll let whoever think they can go ahead. Oh and btw, you're asking for too much if you want these questions to be answered honestly.

I'm not a Shi'a nor am I terribly familiar with the particulars of their faith. The only thing I can give in answer here is that you should be less negative and judging in asking your questions. Were I a Shi'a I wouldn't want to answer these questions given the tone of this thread.

I completely agree. We should be more supportive of our brothers and sisters in Islam, and all of our fellow believers who have faith in G-d, no matter their religion. It's not our place to judge, it is just our job to be faithful to our G-d. We're all going to the same place and to the same loving, merciful, and forgiving G-d when we leave this Earth, we should leave G-d in charge of the judging and deciding... after all, G-d knows best.

Firstly, Why do you write the name of Allah as G-d? thats a jewish belief an it doesn't state anywhere in the quran to do such a thing. Second from your signiture its pretty clear that you are more likely to take quotes from non-muslims then from the prophet (s.a.w). Anyway's I SHOULD NOT support anyone and everyone who tries to bring innovations into the religion like you proposed. Hell isn't a place for just people who reject the being of god, if it were Abu Lahab wouldn't go to hell. Islam is about turning to Allah according to how the prophet (s.a.w) convied it and how the companions passed it down. Islam is not about ones thoughts or one's reasoning therefore, i don't support those who try to change the words of Allah around to mean what they wish it to mean. I"m not being mean but merely telling you that the relgion of islam is a serious thing and shouldn't be taken lightly, because by taking it lightly you will allow people to fool around with the relgion and make it what christianity and Jeudaism are today (read the quran and see how their negligance caused their downfall)

I write G-d's name like this because I do, quite frankly.

Oh what, am I missing an ayat that says "Lo, and on internet message boards, if someone DARES uses a quote that isn't from Muhammed (pbuh) they are a kafir, probably a woman, and definately going to hell!"

Do you even KNOW this quote? It's from a disability rights activist. I have it in my signature because I'm a cripple. My signature has nothing to do this this, and how dare you try and slander me.

Right, because Islam was not a religion of innovation- why don't we just go back to burying little girls in the sand and beating women! I love it how people go on and on about how Islam encourages and supports learning and thinking- but as soon as those people see someone learning- or worse- thinking, then the "you're going to HELL, you're just like the JEWS!" come out. You know, our people of the book, nice how you refer to them.

I'm very serious in my faith- until someone comes along and expects me to mourn it instead of celebrate it.

You can say you're not being mean till the cows come home, but you're still being judgemental and rude, especially in the ways you treat anyone who doesn't completely agree with you.

sorry continued here........... I said its very IRONIC that you use the words of a non muslim but are willing to disregard the words of the prophet

B) About the burying of the girls in pre- arabia where did you get that information from? is it in the quran? 100% NOT!!! this come from the words of the companions who conveyed stories of the burying of girls HOW ELSE COULD YOU HAVE KNOW??
Yes there is an ayah that prohibits THE KILLING of all children for sustanance but nothing about burying girls

C) Burying girls is something islam came to abolish not promote!!! When i say innovation it means you don't add or subtract any thing from the religion or else you would be calling allah a liar when he said "This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion."

To add anything more would mean that Allah lied because that would mean that Allah did not perfect his religion as he said and to subtract would mean That his religion wasn't perfect enough for you so that would mean allah had lied (authu billah)
But again what would you know about this ayah with out hadeeth? where was it revealed? on what day was it revealed? what significance does it have in the chronology of ayat? you don't know with out hadeeth

D) i fail to see your anlogy with the jews? if you mean in terms of innovation people have tried changing things like they did. You disblieve in the hadeeth of the prophet (s.a.w)[which by the way you can draw 1000's of ayat to prove thier need]. The shia curse the family of the prophet (s.a.w)[though they claim to love them] and the companions who suffered and struggled for 23 years with the prophet. Others claim the quran is incomplete, that there were prophet after mohammad (s.a.w). All of which either border Kufur or are completly kufur. You seem lineant on the religion but keep in mind this religion isn't one of play and joke. You stick to the way it was sent because YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO ALTER IT IN ANY WAY.

D) If you claim that disblief in ahadeeth is a part of islam and that the religion is based on the quran i dare you to provide me proof, anything I welcome it!!

... Yes, I got this information from the Qur'an, unless you believe At-Takwir isn't in the Qur'an.

Quote:

YUSUFALI: When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned -
PICKTHAL: And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked
SHAKIR: And when the female infant buried alive is asked

PICKTHAL: For what sin she was slain,
SHAKIR: For what sin she was killed,
