Just wondering about the non-theists out there, how many are strong atheists - i.e firmly believe there is no god, weak atheists - probably is no god, or agnostic - don't know, and why.
I myself am a strong atheist, mainly because I believe science points us towards the truth, while theism many times gets in the way. I see no reason to believe in a supernatural being that isn't pwoerful enough even to convince us of it's own existence. Thanks for your input.

I'm a strong atheist as well.
I believe that there is no evidence for God, hence no reason to believe in god. I also believe that there should be evidence if religion is true, such as the remains of Noah's Ark. The fact that this evidence which should be there leads me to believe that there is no God, just the same way that the lack of evidence for the elephant sitting next to me is evidence that there is no elephant.

Strong. I not only see evidence "for" as faulty and/or a poor standard of truth but I see evidence from science that supports "against".

I don't know what Jay means by not accepting those categories, but I have a problem with them, too -- maybe not the same as his.
With respect to whether there may be some unknown god, I'm agnostic. With respect to any particular god, I'm a strong atheist.

I'd say I'm a strong atheist.
I'm too strong of a believer in science to accept anything but. It would have to be undeniable proof. Undeniable by my standards, that is, which are rather extreme.
