A previous poll seems to indicate that people believe gay people can be "good" Christians.
Based on that, I submit the following question: Would it be better for a gay Christian couple to have sex as a married couple or as an unmarried couple?

I'm a bit confused Rich; is there any differentiation, from your point of view between a heterosexual relationship, and a homosexual one ? ie would you be asking us to vote on the same precepts for a heterosexual relationship ? Personally, as long as a relationship is truly 'loving', I can not see myself having any problem anyway. Obviously, I haven't voted, since the question, as put, for me ought to include another option 'Does it matter anyway' ![]()

It would be better if they were married (if they want to). If they have sex or not, and if yes, how, is of no importance to me - or anyone else.

Better in the eyes of who? Personally I do not think any way is better then the other or are you wondering, through the perspective of God, if one way is better than the other?

I'm wondering what percentage of heterosexuals wait to have sex after marriage. Why separate out the homosexuals for this question? It seems the question should apply to all persuasions.

In the previous poll, as of the time of this post, 100% of the respondents felt that gays could be "good" Christians. Yet, at the same time, most Christians seem to oppose gay marriage. I'm trying to establish some correlation between these two facts. In retrospect, perhaps I should have limited response to Christians. But on the other hand, I am interested in all opinions.

I completely and wholeheartedly agree with Michel on this one. While I think they should have the right to marriage, whether or not they have sex within the confines of marriage is up to them. Would there even be a question of whether or not a heterosexual couple are good Christians if they were to have sex out of wedlock? I just don't see it mattering either way. I vote for Michel's "Does it matter anyway?"

Perhaps my question should have been worded as follows: As a Christian, would you consider it more acceptable for Christian gay couples (who may or may not engage in gay sex) to be married or not married? The poll answers would be: Married Not Married I also agree that this thread probably belongs in a Christians-only forum. Would a moderator care to make that change, or should I repost it myself?
