So does anyone know a good "reformed" version of the Bible? One that speaks in plain ol' English and is ugh... "reformed"? Because I'm sick of the norm bibles like NIV, KJV etc...
So ANY suggestions!? |

My friend owns a copy of "American Standard Version" and we've used it to cross reference Scripture and have found it useful. Check it out...

New Revised Standard Version's good. It it was good enough for the apostle Paul, it's good enough for me.

Well, I happen to know for a fact that Willie Nelson uses the ESV.

The Contemporary English Version is easy to comprehend, but I get the impression that in making it easy-to-read, they sometimes slightly change (or at least lose nuance) of the meaning of the text. It might make a good one to use if you cross-reference it with a more accurate translation.
