I'll say! What kind of exorcism involves beating the crap out of a 19-year old daughter who then stands around the room nakey chanting "something religious in nature"?

As for the 3-year old granddaughter, yeah, well we've seen that sort of thing here locally before at the "House of Prayer" where they were beating the snot out of little kids to drive the demons from them. As if there's something novel about a 3-year old being uppity sometimes. sheesh

I'd be willing to bet the grandfather, when interviewed, will be telling a similar sort of story.

It just goes to show how dangerous superstitions can be.

Who's to say the child wasn't possessed by a demon, the grandfather actually was exorcising said demon and that the powers and principalities that rule this dark world didn't step in to kill him so that evil spiritual forces could claim not one but two lives?

We can say that people who believe this shouldn't be anywhere near children.

I don't personally disagree with that rule, but it doesn't resolve the quandary.

But in this case, the one involved doesn't think that . . . so we are back to square one . . . who are you to say that this wasn't what had to be done?
As long as the actor genuinely believes it's necessary, then it's not our business to argue with him or try to get him to see he is wrong, right?
