It appears that Yisrayl Hawkins, the feller in Abilene, TX that predicted nuclear war on 9/12/06 has not yet updated his website.

This first nuclear war will eventually lead to the involvement of all nations. These wars will intensify in the thirteen months that remain after the initial war prophesied for September 12, 2006, until the final burning blast that darkens the sun.

The days following September 12, 2006 will be filled with fear of reprisal and more nuclear destruction. The cause of war and fighting will still remain; as long as the cause remains so will the threat of war. The cause is plainly shown in the inspired prophecies from Genesis to Revelation.

Email sent to Yisrayl this morning:

I see on Yisrayl's website that he prophesies that nuclear war would start yesterday, September 12, 2006. Does he or his organization know of any nuclear attacks that actually occured on that date?

I am wondering if Yisrayl will issue a statement correcting himself, retract his prophesy, or give us a new date.

If nuclear war is actually going to start, it would be useful to know when.

Hmmm.....

/me sticks his head out the window....funny...I don't see, smell, or hear any signs of the nuclear war, and certainly Hot'Lanta, GA would be a pretty high target on a list of US targets. I am forced to conclude that the prediction was in error. I guess we'll have to wait and see how Mr. Hawkins responds.

I looked at Hawkins site in the wee hours this morning (around 4am) and noticed it hadn't changed. But who knows, maybe they were all asleep instead of cowering in the basement root cellar.

I'm reminded of that verse in the Tenakh that essentially says if a prophet gets something wrong, you have no need to fear him.
