Article that critiques the movie coming to theatres soon. IMO there is obvious bias in the way it is written. I'll let you decide though.

I expect to see it Friday morning when it comes out. I read the book, which is a real page turner, and it didn't confuse my theology a bit. It's just fiction, sheesh. And who can resist a well made movie by Ron Howard with a cast like that? Honestly. |

I haven't read the book, but Turk has. I have books backed up to read still. Have like four or five at once right now that I never have time for
. I would like to see the movie, but I may have to go out of town to see it. Considering the type of movie it is it may not be in this theatre here. Passion never came here. Shame really. This is exactly the type of censorship I talk about in my blog. Makes no sense.![]()

I have a feeling it will be great movie, and people are coming up with ridiculous excuses for not seeing it. "Well the book is poorly written, so the movie can't be good." or "It's all fiction." "It's overrated."
As for me, Ron Howard and the actors/actresses are too magnetic for me to refuse seeing it. It also seems ridiculous how most of the Christian population is exploding because there are a few questionable shreds of evidence shedding doubt on their faith. Also, people have a tendency to attack the DaVinci Code instead of the book it was based on, Holy Blood Holy Grail. "The DaVinci Code doesn't have enough evidence!" Of course it doesn't, because it's not meant to sputter out piles of evidence; it is a fictional novel that is meant for entertainment. Holy Blood, Holy Grail has the real meat, but people seemed to have neglected it...

I'm pretty sure I got the "Da Vinci Code Quest" on Google done in time to be one of the 10,000 to win a replica crypdex. I should know on Monday. I'll keep you posted.
I want to see the movie, but I'm not really much of a moviegoer, and we have a new baby, so it may be a while before we go and see it. I hope it is as good as it looks like it will be.

I wonder why nobody seems to realize that even if Dan Brown's interpretation of Da Vinci's works is correct, all that really would show is that Leonardo Da Vinci believed that Christ married Mary Magdalene and had a child. Since Leonardo wasn't any type of religious authority, I don't see how his beliefs on this matter would matter much anyway.
