I can understand the anti-Islamic feelings growing in Europe. There are currently riots in the streets in Denmark, Norway, London and Palestine; demonstrations and calls for death to western journalists all over the middle East. Embassies have been burned to the ground, death fatwas issued. All this because of some newspaper cartoons featuring Muhammad, which is forbidden in Islamic law/religion and was deemed an insult to Islam. I see cartoons depicting God or Jesus all the time. I've even seen humorous representations of them posted on church bulletin boards. No-one gets bent out of shape about these, and those who find them objectionable are more likely to go home and pray for the souls of the cartoonists than to behead them and burn down their houses/churches/workplaces. Most Muslim clerics go out of their way to portray Islam as a tolerant and merciful religion, yet the actions of the hoi-polloi consistently demonstrate to the Christian world that your average Muslim is violent, thin-skinned, paranoid, hateful and intolerant. Western Europe has opened its arms to middle eastern refugees and emigrants, but when these communities make no attempt to acculturate to their new societies and, indeed, insist that their adopted countries conform to Sharia law on pain of riots and violence, Europeans become rightly concerned. It is the presence of a large, volatile, potentially violent group of foreigners who insist her country reform to conform to middle-eastern standards of propriety and culture that has Qween Margrethe alarmed. |

The moslems are going to have to start living in the real world. As far as I can see all Religions get cartooned and insulted; christians and jews certainly do in moslem countries. If they really want to live in the western world they must get used to our ways and laws, just as we have to in theirs. We don't threaten to bomb and kill, because of insults, nor do we take and kill hostages. Terry_______________________ Blessed are those who bring peace, they shall be children of God |

Two (or more) wrongs don't make a right. When those in high positions make statements that lable an entire religion negatively, it dose not help the relationship between religions or cultures.
Perhaps most Christains have a thicker skin or a more forgiving manner. But we can't always expect another culture to react as perhaps we would in every situation. |

They always make fun of God and jesus because christians are weak and dont have power. The church are running low. Christians have a old skin look in the church
