Is god also the devil? Modern society portrays a god that is gentle and kind. But in fact scripture describes a very different god. In the story of Job Satan asks permission to tempt and persecute Job. Notice that the devil needs god's permission to test Job. When it was asked if Jesus got his powers to remove demons from the devil, he answered: “Can a divided house stand”. Pretty obvious here that there is no division between the devil and god. But even in Genesis the ruthless god is evident. Note that the story of Lilith comes before the temptation of Adam and Eve. The tale of Lilith deals with subordination and does so from a sexual perspective. As soon as Lilith is replaced by Eve god gives the command not to eat from the tree of knowledge. Now in comes a very interesting character, a talking snake. Note that Adam would be subordinate to Lilith if she were on top in the sexual act, then notice how the snake is really taking on a phallic symbol. And exactly who's phallic thing are we talking about? You guessed it, its Yahweh's! The snake represents god doing some serious missionary pounding. Well that means that Adam and Eve didn't fall from grace as many believe but were in fact set up!
Why would good old Yahweh do such a thing? I have two puppies, Leo, a German Shepard, and Sal, a Husky German Shepard mix. Sal is bigger than Leo by 6 inches. Sal is never serious about anything, he loves to play, he doesn't care about dogie protocol. Leo on the other had is all about formalities, he likes control. Sal has a bad habit of taking Leo's toy or chewy when he's just step away to get some water. Leo did not make a big deal out of the issue for some time. But one day Leo got a hold of an old stick and placed this stick about 2 feet from his side and sat down. Leo looked about as if ignoring the stick. Well this more than tempted Sal and soon enough Sal approached the stick. As soon as Sal got within a foot of the stick Leo leaped with a ferocious ferocity and engaged Sal. Leo repeated this stick thing a few more times with the same reaction until Sal learned not to take the stick or his chewies.
So what did Leo actually do? Leo needed to subordinate Sal so Sal would not to take his things when he leaves them alone. Leo did so by creating a temptation for Sal knowing that Sal would fail. So too did Yahweh tempt man, knowing they would fail, in order to subordinate them. Ergo the snake, phallic thing.
OK, so then why then does the new testament describe Satanic rebellion and mystical stuff. Well lets look at the Old testament and specifically the guy who wrote the first part of it. In Exodus there is tons of magic, pharaoh' priests' magic, gods magic etc, that explains why the Egyptians let the Hebrews go. But the more likely scenario is that events were occurring that the Egyptians perceive as a curse from their gods. The curse being due to the Hebrew foreigners in their homeland. Now remember the Hebrews followed Moses into the desert where they were “lost” for forty years. Forty years is enough time to raise two to three generations of fighting ready soldiers. So if Moses told the truth it would make being Hebrew lowly in comparison to the Egyptians. Also to keep those new kiddies patriotic and very Hebrew he had to, well, exaggerate. You see without special effects people get pretty bored with stories. Just imagine how boring Star Wars or the Matrix would be without special effects.
So Jesus and leaders of his movement figured out the need or use of special effects. In the end god is the devil, all is god's will and there is no constraint that limit god's sadistic nature. The end ambition of Yahweh in this false tale of “good vs evil” is global domination of man, enslavement(subordination) of man. The fact is that the bible doesn't really describe a good vs evil story. The good vs evil interpretation is how religions are marketed. You can't really sell a sadistic god now can you?
