Haiti: an Example to Learn From

Events like the Haiti earthquakes, the tsunami waves or the 9/11 (World trade Center) Attacks, to me are a lesson that this dimension we're in is transient, with nothing sure enough for one to bank their hopes in.

Again, they prove the possibility of judgment and the bringing of the glory of this world to naught, in a moment.

But for this to be a transient dimension, there has to be an Eternal, everlasting & Sure dimension.

Heaven & hell therefore cease to be "grannies' fables" (as some choose to call them), but evidently are living realities.

Such is the fate of mankind & his momentary achievements.

So Pat Robertson was right when he said that all the Voodoo practitioners on Haiti made a pact with the Devil and the earthquake was gods way of showing them how wrong they are?

They prove no such thing. What evidence is there that natural phenomena in the universe are the judgments of some divine being? In fact, what evidence is that that any bad thing is judgment? Do you actually think the universe was made for you? Humans have existed a blink in time, and then the conditions that made our lives possible will no longer exist, and we will be gone, forever. The universe was never designed for us. We are not special. We are a twig, not even that, on a great tree of life that will exist for only a moment before it will be gone forever. Bad things don't happen to us because of judgment. Bad things happen to us because that's life, and life was never tailored to our needs to begin with.

But for this to be a transient dimension, there has to be an Eternal, everlasting & Sure dimension.

There doesn't have to be an eternal dimension. Your logic isn't logic. How does a transient dimension prove an eternal one? What logical rule requires that if one exists, so must the other? That's like saying that if I have on a blue sock, the other one must be green. But no such thing has been proven. You need to imagine your reasoning and theology because it's bankrupt. Innocent people who have suffered terrible things don't need this kind of theology inflicted on them anymore. It is not only ignorant, it is immoral and cruel.

I am curious, the 9/11 incident killed around 2500 people, that is nothing. And here we have Haiti that had.... Do you want me to say how many?

If these are incidents God made because of our previous atrocities, why were we americans not punished? I mean, 2500 people is a joke, we murdered hundreds of thousands of innocent people just during the last years, If God really was ******, why not kill a couple of hundred thousands of "true americans" down south showing us his rage? Why such a pity amount of people and then kill thousands upon thousands down in Haiti?

Could you explain why Gods rage was so little towards us Americans compared to Haitians? We done more Evil the last 50 years then most nations could claim, we are amongst top five... Please explain why we get such a small taste of Gods rage?

Haiti is a lesson that people shouldn't build poorly-structured houses near fault lines.

Tsunamis are a lesson that people should not build ground houses on low-lying coastal regions, and that a working advance warning system for tsunamis should be in place.

September 11 is a lesson for proper security screening in airports.
