What is righteousness? Are there any benefits to being righteous? Is there any reason to be righteous? What do you think?

I first must learn to tolerate myself. That is the beautiful possibility for neighbourly love, and, yes, the ability to bare the persecution .

Self-righteousness bares the prefered anger of oneself upon oneself and interpretation of others that way .

Buddhism is a marvelous GIFT for the Christian American, for, you know, it can allow the Christian philosophy of the golden rule amongst others of its own .

1) The dictionary (To which I always refer before commiting myself to a debate on a word) tells me that it means 'adhering to moral Principles'
2) The benefit of being righteous is (For me) that I can sleep at night
3) To me, the reason is that If I were not to practice righteousness, life would have no meaning. God is my maker, and, if I didn't have moral principles, I would be lost.
Of course, I MUST (for me) be righteous; do I suceed all the time? of course not; I am a human being.
I wish I could!!!!!!!
