Default Does mystical experience provide good grounds for the belief in God?

Mystical experiences cannot be explained at this point in time, does this give argument for a God?

Are you referring to Jesse Duplantis's belief that he was transported to heaven for a period of about six hours and saw God the Father and God the Son?

It's my understanding today, year 2005, that some mystical experiences (not all) can be explained in terms of possible illegal drug use (LSD, etc.) and also, unfortunately, in terms of a type of epilepsy known as TLE (Temporal Lobe Epilepsy) where no illegal drugs were ever used.

I'm sure some people see it that way, but no-one could explain disease for most of human existance and credited that to God. Then microscopes etc damaged that line of thought a little.

It may be also true that you or I cannot explain something but someone else quite happily can. To my younger brother the process of protein denaturation is 'mystical' but 'fried egg' to me.
