Why is pride a sin? Is it wrong to know and feel that you have done something right? Or take pride in helping others. Why is it a sin to feel good about something?

If you have the ability to appreciate your actions and think of them as pure, then pride is not sinful. How I wish I could................

There are many attitudes we label as "pride".
Many are acceptable, but a few aren't. The JOY you feel when your child excels is NOT pride. The JOY you feel when YOU excel is not pride. Feeling that no one can be better IS. Feeling that YOU know better than your doctor is PRIDE! Making sure that his dianosis is correct IS NOT! Feeling that YOU know better than God is PRIDE! Questioning those who CLAIM to be his messengers IS NOT! |

Boast=external pride; pride=internal boast (on sliding scales)
