I would think that the expression of this genetic component is supplied by nurture. Get in touch with it? - get a supportive environment!

To be fair, it should be pointed out that Hamer offers a lot of details about his study in The God Gene, along with many caveats about how hard it is to establish an association between genes and behavior. But given the fate of Hamer's so-called gay gene, it is strange to see him so impatient to trumpet the discovery of his God gene. ...

I have not read his work, could you link me? I am interested to see why he thinks that about all people.

I think the divine image in us is broken and need of repair, but that is traditional Christianity and I've expressed it quite a few times already. I'm still seeing the doctor .

For Deut, thank you for that post on the God-gene. While I'm not wholly unimformed on science, I am not a scientist and was not aware of those challenges to it. Your post there is appreciated.

I believe we do; we all do, as we have his enemy within us. How do we get in touch with it?
I get in touch with it through meditation; and I ask my God to still the voice of his enemy that is potentially within me too. Once I learn not to listen to him (it?). he will give up and search for easier prey.
