Default The Theology of Torture

Christian theology is uneasy with empire, and the pictures from Abu Ghraib prison reveal why. More than politics is at stake in this scandal. Moral theology is also involved, and that is worthy of serious public discussion—especially when this war's commander-in-chief speaks often of his Christian faith.

Default Politics and Religion.

Personally, so many ideas were bouncing around after 9/11 that I believe many people were willing to forsake the concept: (a) of honourable and justified war, (b) justice in the common human sense brought into the light of the Christian Occident.
Is justice available in any definable religious essence?
That would have to be the Justice of morally commited solutions, which is not the justice of the socio-polical welfare of Nations. A moral commited soution runs from the eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth idea to the rejection of vigelanty justice , and finally to the quest for exhausting institutional needs in their communities, and to our instituional style of overcoming GREED.
The suggestion exists in how do we stop torturing ourselves in after-all the double standards we have in something like: "do onto your neighbour as he would do onto you." One wonders of the innate commonwealth idea where the golden rule gives especially North American peoples the human rights they cherish in lterally the property development.
I can only hope that the concept of human rights could be extended to all forms of Knowledge; fervently believe such could be accomplished in spite of the technical overwhelming differences in CONCRETE natural worlds.
Empirialism has a knew perspective in the world. Do you mean possibly reaching to come to terms with a Russian perspective? Human law curbing the ability to contain the family unit within the equality (so-called) of compared Conscience as opposed to the human rights for Individuals might be the way to understand the Constitutional FREEDOM of man in the future.
