Would Something Like This Offend You?

One day, out of nothing else to do, I decided to watch a religious show. It was the actor, Kirk Cameron and his friend going up to people and asking them if they thought they were good people. The person would usually say yes, and Mr. Cameron would come up with reasons why they weren't.
Watching this show made me cringe. (Jesus never went up to people and asked that at all. He was compassionate.)

Would it offend you if someone did this to you? I am asking both Christians and non-Christians this question. (Christians are taught that all of us are sinners and so on and so forth but non-Christians are bound by this teaching.)

If someone came up to me, asked if I was good and as an offhand answer I said yea. Then, that person giving me reasons why I wasn't good....I think I would have a field day by turning the argument on them.

When I was in Summit County, I had some rather young people come up to me and asked me if I was a Christian. Then they asked me if I thought I was going to Heaven. I told them that I hoped I was going to Heaven. They then started to question my faith because I wasn't absolutely sure I was going to Heaven.

For someone just to walk up to me on the street and start telling me about my convictions and question my beliefs would upset me greatly. I don't judge people and I don't want them to judge me.

As an atheist, I'm sort of used to this kind of crap by now. I'd just say "Not interested" and continue on my way.

It sounds like a very stupid show, indeed. Not because it is disillusioning people of their stupidness, but because it would (stupidly) bother to.

It would offend me to the point that I wouldn't watch it any more.
