Well coming on here in the first place is searching for evidence. I asked Christians to provide me with some evidence. I am now searching for evidence, that is the difference between me and those Christians who listen to their preachers.
I took his word for it because I know he would not lie over something like this and I have confidence in him, due to the fact that he has absolutely crushed every theist I have seen him debate with.

Just as some theists feel the opposite way about people they consider to be an authoritative source on whatever they consider the truth.

To be honest, it sounds to me more like you're trying to show that there isn't any, rather than actually trying to find some.

Actually, I have no evidence that would satisfy a nonbeliever of God. Most atheists don't believe simply because there is no tangible evidence (at least to them).

If I say that our existence itself is proof, I would get laughed at by any nonbeliever. If I say that they way the earth adapts to different temperatures(seasons changing) is proof, I would also get laughed at. I think you are getting the point. Both of those arguments can also be explained scientifically, as you and I know very well.

Just FYI and FWIW, most atheist philosophers distance themselves from the rantings of Dawkins. He's kind of like the John Hagee of atheism. Atheists agree with his overall opinion by and large but blush when they hear or read the guy hold forth in one of his diatribes. There are much better atheists to read. I recommend just about anything by J. L. Mackie (RIP).

And I was not calling you an idiot. At least I thought I wasn't. The people I was calling idiots are those who say they believe in something, when they have absolutely no evidence. I'm talking about the people who do not question their faith, who deny facts and who dont even look for evidence. I'm pretty sure it was you that said in another thread that you would not believe without sufficient evidence. So maybe you do have evidence. Like I said, please try to explain it to me. And sorry if I offend you, but in my opinion, if someone will think that something actually exists, without having any evidence/proof, then they are a complete and utter idiot.
